What our clients say about us

  • Prof Cornelius Katona, MD FRCPsych

“I have worked with A&M Consultancy on several forced migration related projects – with the Royal College of Psychiatrists, with the Commission on the Integration of Refugees and with the Helen Bamber Foundation. They have been responsive, flexible, and insightful and have ensured that not only was the lived experience voice heard but that lived experience expertise helped shape all stages of the projects. I have learned a lot from the collaborations, am still learning and am enormously grateful.”

  • Jo Hynes, Public Law Project

“Ana and Mishka were both brilliant to work with on our research into the remote delivery of immigration advice. They offered very helpful insights to improve the research design, as well as identifying and putting us in touch with research participants. They were extremely responsive, flexible to our shifting timeframes, and committed to rigorous and ethical research – thank you both.”

  • Caroline Norman, Refugee Council

“We are very pleased with the analysis and evaluation of our Health Access for Refugees (HARP) project and found them to be very easy to work with. Our project involves working with very vulnerable people, and it is not easy to engage with them. In this case, their own lived experience of the UK asylum system was very pertinent in being able to contact them and seek their opinions on our project. I have no hesitation to recommend them as evaluators.”

  • Rachel Cain, Lloyds Bank Foundation for England & Wales

“Ana & Mishka are really easy to work with and bring a wealth of expertise and insights on campaigning for better support for asylum seekers and refugees. They have a clear understanding of how to influence change effectively, with a particular focus on making sure people with lived experience are leading the way.”

  • Emily Miller, Migration Museum

“Thank you both for the session you led for the whole Migration Museum team. You were both great - confident, personable and generous with the way you bring in your own lived experience to illustrate the different parts of the asylum process. That clearly had a massive impact on our team. The workplace scenarios you gave us to discuss helped us think deeply about lived experience participation and leadership. Overall, the session really helped us focus on our journey as a Museum of Sanctuary.”

  • Prof Hanna Kienzler, Department of Global Health and Social Medicine and Co-Director of the ESRC Centre for Society and Mental Health at King's College London

It has been fantastic to work with A&M Consultancy. They have provided incredible insight into and guidance for inclusive working with people with lived experience of displacement and sanctuary seeking. Their input into my grant applications, projects, and the Refugee Mental Health and Place network has been invaluable ensuring that those with lived experience are included as partners, receive appropriate pay, and can strengthen their skills and capacities. I highly recommend working with A&M Consultancy!
